Basement Digout & Finish - Congress Park
Project Summary
This project was carried out in two phases, beginning with a basement excavation and followed by a full-scale remodeling of the structure. The goal was to enhance the building’s functionality while ensuring structural integrity and modernized aesthetics.
Phase 1: Basement Excavation & Foundation Work
In Phase 1, the focus was on excavating and reinforcing the basement. The process involved removing large volumes of soil while implementing shoring techniques to prevent structural instability. Once the excavation was complete, retaining walls were constructed, followed by the installation of waterproofing systems to protect against moisture damage. Concrete foundations were then laid, ensuring a strong base for the remodeled structure. Additionally, key utility systems such as electrical, plumbing, and drainage were integrated into the basement to support future developments.
Phase 2 involved extensive remodeling work to transform the space into a fully functional and aesthetically enhanced environment. Structural modifications were made, including adjustments to the floor plan, wall realignments, and the installation of new partitions. The remodeling also included significant upgrades to the HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems to improve efficiency and sustainability. Finishing touches such as flooring installation, ceiling work, painting, cabinetry, and fixture placement brought the space to completion. The project also incorporated exterior improvements, including façade enhancements and landscaping, to complement the internal upgrades.
